  EDMON PERKINS  
 
 

Edmon Perkins plays the trombone, piano, harmonica, and electric guitar. He has qualified for the East Central Band Directors Association All District Honor Band with the trombone for the last four years. He won the Oklahoma Federation of Music Clubs Junior Composer Contest in 1997 for his composition, Red Pepper Rag, in 1998 for his composition, The Chess Match, and in 1999 for Ballad in A Minor which also won the Lynn Freeman Olsen composition contest in 1999. Edmon has received five consecutive superior ratings for piano solo from the National Federation of Music Clubs. He is a member of the Holdenville Academic Team, Science Club, National Honor Society, Chess Club, Holdenville Concert/Marching/Jazz Band, and the Allen Church of Christ. Having received numerous academic awards, Edmon is considering a music and science career.
