Nonsense is based on a set of texts from the Book Of Nonsense by Mervyn Peake. Composed in 1979 and revised in 1984, the settings were first perfomed at the Chester Summer Music Festival in July 1984 by the National Youth Choir Of Great Britain. Written for SATB chorus with Piano duet.
