Noteflight announces the next wave in online music education technology

Noteflight Learn to combine composition, recording, and assessment with subscriptions to the most popular musical scores

SOMERVILLE, Mass. - Noteflight LLC has announced a revolutionary new platform for music educators called Noteflight Learn, an online music learning community for teachers and students where music creation, performance, and collaboration all coexist with the most popular musical content in music education. Noteflight Learn includes Noteflight's full premium notation editing and playback features for every student on any web-enabled device, along with the ability to organize groups of students into classes, ensembles and shared interests. Students' performances can also be captured as audio recordings, while a suite of extensive online music libraries with many popular titles will provide a wealth of material for practice, assessment and feedback. This is the first platform ever to combine music composition, playback and recording with premium musical content, while giving students unlimited access both in school and at home. Only in Noteflight Learn can teachers seamlessly create and combine their own musical materials with published content in a single environment for all students. "We want every child to experience the joy of learning and making music with an easy and intuitive creation tool," said John Mlynczak, Noteflight's Director of Educational Technology. "At the same time, we recognize that teachers need the best musical content available for performance and meaningful assessment. Noteflight Learn allows students to draw on these resources and freely create, learn, perform, and collaborate in a way that reflects today's connected world." Noteflight Learn offers premium notation features with a new, customizable groups feature that allows teachers to organize classes or ensembles within a single school site. Additional audio recording, content libraries, and enhanced teacher/student collaboration features will be rolled out progressively in the coming months. At introduction, content libraries will include a large selection of titles from Noteflight's parent company, Hal Leonard Corporation, with titles from other publishers to follow soon. Subscriptions start at just $69 per year for ten users. Educators can sign up for Noteflight Learn at www.noteflight.com or by visiting their local music store.
