Hal Leonard Welcomes Chris Klinkhardt and Sharon Stosur
Gifted Industry Vets Join Ranks of World's Largest Music Print Publisher
MILWAUKEE - Print publishing innovator Hal Leonard Corporation has added two new employees to its roster: Chris Klinkhardt has joined the sales department, and Sharon Stosur is a piano publications editor for the company. Both have extensive experience in the music industry.
A Long Island native who moved from Chester, New York with his wife and two children, Klinkhardt will focus on educational music sales for Hal Leonard. He has worked for several other publishers - most recently, for Music Sales - and also has music retail experience.
Klinkhardt has studied music education, economics, jazz performance and music business at East Coast colleges including S.U.N.Y. Fredonia, William Patterson and the University of Suffolk County. He remains active as a professional trumpet player.
Stosur has worked for Hal Leonard as a freelance arranger and author since 1997, and has now accepted the full-time position of piano publications editor. Originally from Detroit, Stosur relocated from Rochester, New York with her husband and their two children to accept this position in the company's Milwaukee headquarters.
A professional pianist and accompanist, Stosur has considerable experience in teaching children and adults in her home piano studio. She earned her bachelor's of music degree in piano performance from Central Michigan University, and her master's degree in piano performance and pedagogy from Northwestern University.
Hal Leonard President Larry Morton comments, "We're elated about these fantastic additions to our staff. Chris has encyclopedic knowledge of all facets of print publishing, and Sharon's dozen years of freelancing for us and decades of teaching piano make her an invaluable asset."
