Hal Leonard Ready, Willing and Ableton for New Distribution Deal
Popular Live 8 Software Latest Music Creation Tool Available from Hal
Hal Leonard Corporation has reached a deal with Ableton Inc. to distribute the company's popular recording software to music retailers across the country.
Headquartered in Berlin with a US office in Pasadena, CA, Ableton was founded in 1999 to make software for creating, producing and performing music. Live made its debut in 2001, and now - in its eighth edition - has several hundred thousand devout users worldwide. This software's nonlinear flow, alongside powerful real-time editing and flexible performance options, make it a unique studio tool and a favorite with live performers. Live has received outstanding feedback from artists and the international press.
Hal Leonard Senior Sales & Marketing Manager Brad Smith says, "Ableton is a clear leader in the field. Their software is intuitive and musician-friendly - so it's ideal for folks just getting into recording - but it's also robust enough that Ableton Suite serves as a complete studio in a box. Their titles are a superb addition to our arsenal of products."
Tony McCall, national sales and marketing manager for Ableton Inc., says, "Ableton's founders started the company to realize their personal vision of a computer-based, music-making solution. We now enjoy working with a team of exceptionally bright and talented people - including the Hal Leonard team, who will help us expand our market reach. We get great gratification from serving and interacting with the Live user community, and we hope to add many more musicians to it."
