MILWAUKEE - Roy Buchanan never got his due. A pioneer of the Telecaster sound, this blues guru was a sideman and solo artist, with two gold albums early in his career, and two later solo albums that made it onto the Billboard charts.
Despite never having achieved stardom, he is highly influential; Guitar Player praised him as having one of the "50 Greatest Tones of All Time" and Rolling Stone has ranked him #57 on their list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time."
In the new Hal Leonard Signature Licks book, Dave Rubin shines a spotlight on Buchanan and his masterful guitar playing. Rubin presents a dozen of Buchanan's best licks in notes and tab, teaching each in detail.
