Hal Leonard Beefs Up Sheets with New Online Backing Tracks
MILWAUKEE - Hal Leonard Corporation has long been synonymous with quality sheet music. Now the print music publisher is upping its game by offering the latest innovation in sheets: free online play-along tracks. New Hal Leonard sheets with online audio feature arrangements for piano and voice with guitar chord frames, with the melody presented in the right hand of the piano part as well as in the vocal line. These special titles also include access to online recordings of professional backing tracks so musicians can play along with a band and sound great. The tracks are for download and/or streaming, and are accessed at halleonard.com/mylibrary via a unique code printed on the sheet. Hal Leonard has added audio for the biggest recent hits it has released as sheets, including "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift, "Angel in Blue Jeans" by Train, "Love Someone" by Jason Mraz and "Take Me to Church" by Hozier. Here, Hal Leonard Editor Jeff Radke demonstrates how to access and play along with the backing tracks. Jeff Schroedl, executive vice president of Hal Leonard, comments, "Play-alongs are among our most popular publications. We offer more than 30 distinct series, because our customers keep asking for more. We can quickly create sheets for a hot pop song, and this new line makes it even more enjoyable to play them."
