Shirley Brendlinger
Shirley Brendlinger is a performer, adjucator, published composer and recording artist. She is a nationally certified teacher of piano, theory and composition. She holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Kentucky, specializing in piano performance. For thirty-five years she has taught music, including being an adjunct professor at Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. Her students have won numerous awards at regional and national levels. She has performed in England, Scotland, Germany and The Bahamas as well as in the United States. In addition to her performing and teaching, Ms. Brendlinger is the Youth Education Specialist at her church, where she has created a mentorship program training youth to develop musical and other talents to be presented in worship settings. Shirley lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, Irv. They enjoy their two adult children, Carol Joy and David. All profits from Ms. Brendlinger’s publications and CDs go to the Hearts of Hope Foundation, a cancer recovery program in Portland, Oregon.
