Lynda Lybeck-Robinson

Lynda Lybeck-Robinson is an accomplished teacher, pianist, composer, singer, songwriter, and arranger. Currently residing in Unalaska, Alaska (an Aleutian Island village in the Bering Sea), Lynda has taught piano and composition to students of all ages since 1996. She is the founder and president of The Hearts and Hands Project, a non-profit organization that gives annual music mentor scholarships. The organization also hosts visiting performers and clinicians, and produces a biennial Hearts & Hands Songbook/CD of music composed by local music students. As a singer/songwriter, Lynda has recorded four CDs, including two that celebrate the area's indigenous Aleut language in a contemporary format. Lynda earned her BA in Music at Linfield College, with an emphasis on classical piano performance and composition. She has performed and toured internationally, including concerts in Turkey, Norway, Japan, and France. She is an active member of MTNA and AKTA, and continues to inspire her students with her compositions.
