Jeffrey A. Smith
Jeffrey A. Smith started his music training at the age of eight, and within a few years began composing music by creating new melodies from the chordal structure of Christmas carols. By the age of sixteen, Jeff was actively involved in the music ministry at his church, where he played the piano for both the English and Spanish church services. Since then, Jeff has gained invaluable experience in hymn playing, improvisation, arranging, and composing. These years have allowed Jeff to compose and arrange new choral anthems, and his first choral arrangement was published in 2005. Jeff's published anthems are now listed under the Shawnee Press and Hal Leonard names, and other well-known publishing houses. Jeff holds degrees from Bob Jones University and Nova Southeastern University. He is a member of ASCAP, and keeps an active schedule where he serves as pianist of Plantation Baptist Church in Plantation, Florida.
