Drawing on the musical themes from the American folk song “Boneparte's Retreat,” this arrangement is upbeat and rhythmic. A fiddle melody is incorporated into the one piano four hands accompaniment while the singers create sounds of the style and period. Teaching strategies are included in the comprehensive Program Notes.
