Clair de Lune for Trombone Solo (or Alto Sax) and Wind Orchestra Amstel Music

Clair de Lune for Trombone Solo (or Alto Sax) and Wind Orchestra Amstel Music

Clair de Lune was originally written for piano, being the 3rd movement of the Suite Bergamasque by French composer Claude Debussy. This arrangement was written at the request of my good friend Max M. McKee, on behalf of the American Band College class of 2017. His idea for this arrangement was born when Max heard Joseph Alessi (principal trombone of the New York Philharmonic) play a version of Clair de Lune with piano accompaniment. Joe Alessi played the world premiere of this arrangement at the 2017 ABC conference in Medford, Oregon, with the ABC Wind Orchestra, conducted by Mike Bankhead. Grade level for soloist is 4+.
