Commissioned by the Glenbard North High School Bands and Music Boosters, and the JCS Fund of the DuPage Foundation. Dedicated to the Band Senior Class of 2020, Lauren Whisnant, conductor. “Pop Music” celebrated dedicated band students who were unable to do something they love--gather, rehearse, and perform--for an extended period due to precautions against the Coronavirus pandemic. A circus-like atmosphere often accompanies the seriousness of our times, and a little clown-like silliness and, uh, balloonacy...may be good for a much needed laugh after years of uncertainty in which the only constant has been the lack of constancy.
