The Singphoniker have arranged Georg Kreisler's most famous songs for male ensemble and recorded on CD. Why are people so cowardly? After social criticism resignation follows. Kreisler's otherwise humoristically critical style leads to the simple question: Why? He asks about the cause of sloth, docility and social adaptation. The demand for breaking out of this lethargy, which is rather halfhearted, concludes the work.
