Series: Study Score Publisher: Schott Format: Softcover Study Score Composer: Krzysztof Penderecki

For decades, Krzysztof Penderecki has been one of the central personalities of international musical life. With works such as the Lukas Passion or the Polish Requiem Penderecki has created both musical history milestones, as formulated political confessions. Especially in the eight symphonies - starting with the first Symphony in 1973, on the monumental work Seven Gates of Jerusalem (7th Symphony), which was created during the 3000th anniversary celebration, and ending in 2007 with the 8th Symphony (Songs of Transience) - The compositional development of the Polish master can be understood. With the last completed and premiered in China in 2017, the Sixth Symphony (Chinese Songs), the eight contributions to the symphonic genre are now available in completed work form. On the occasion of Krzysztof Penderecki's 85th birthday in November 2018, the symphonies appear as study scores in a high-quality slipcase.
