Deborah Brady
Music educator and composer Deborah Brady began her career while still an undergraduate, teaching keyboard theory courses at Shorter College. During the same period, she also taught private piano and guitar. Nationally certified by the American College of Musicians, Ms. Brady currently operates a thriving private studio and composes educational music. Some of her compositions appear in the NFMC 2008-2010 Festivals Bulletin. Before turning to full-time teaching and composing, Ms. Brady juggled roles as music director, performer, writer, arranger, vocalist and co-owner of an Atlanta-area recording studio with her husband, Tom. As a soloist, she has performed extensively throughout the southeast and has appeared on numerous regional television and radio programs. Ms. Brady holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Shorter College, where she studied with Mr. William Knight. She completed her Masters and Doctoral programs by extension from Victory Institute. Her professional affiliations include: BMI, Music Teachers National Association, National Guild of Piano Teachers, National Federation of Music Clubs, Georgia Music Teachers Association, and the Gwinnett County Music Teachers Association.
