Bach's intricate 'triple' concerto for keyboard, violin and flute is a challenge, containing much brilliant passagework. The less formidable slow movement was taken from the organ sonata No. 3. It is a companion to the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, the first movement of which is included on this album. An extremely rewarding and enjoyable piece for study. Vivaldi's D-minor concerto was originally written for oboe but is equally at home on the flute. Both are Baroque music at its best.
Includes a high-quality printed music score and online audio containing a complete performance of the concerto.
