Ulysses at the Edge Often World was originally a piece in equal tempered 12-tone tuning. The present version is the result of further revisions with a new vocal part containing a question that Partch often heard from the local police when traveling as a tramp: “Your name is Ulysses - because you roam the world. Tell me, have you ever been in prison?”
