The Celtic folk tradition provides us with a wealth of wonderful musical material. Paul's effective arrangement begins with the beautiful ballad “The Maids of Mourne Shore,” stated first by a solo flute and later by the trumpet section. “The Star of the County Down” features a driving Celtic drum pattern and a lively melody.
