From the Don Sickler album “Night Watch” (Uptown UPCD 27.39), this is a great introduction to some of the more diverse directions that jazz composers have taken since the 1950s. Written with Flamenco-tinged Latin phrases alternating with modern swing, this is easy to listen to and fun to play.
