Carolyn C. Setliff received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Centenary College in Shreveport, LA and also holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is active in the Central Association of the Arkansas State Music Teachers Association and was awarded Independent Music Teacher of the Year by Arkansas State Music Teachers' Association. As a member of Little Rock Musical Coterie, she and her students have participated in Coterie programs. In recent years, several of her students have won local and state contests. She is certified by the both the state and national association of music teachers. Her compositions have been selected for the NFMC. Carolyn is the second in three generations of piano teachers. She and her daughter, Cathy Dawson, have one book published together. She has a home studio where she teaches 30-35 students each year. She has participated in a showcase at NMTA, and she has conducted workshops in Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, and Tennessee. She loves composing music for her students, and several of her students compose music of their own. She also enjoys singing and is a member of Arkansas Chamber Singers. She lives in Little Rock with her husband, who is a retired professor of chemistry. They have two grown children and four grandchildren.
