Hal Leonard has acquired exclusive distribution rights to new products that have been successful in making music spaces safer for combatting the COVID-19 virus. The masks and shields are ideal for school and studio settings but can also be used in churches, community theaters, fitness centers, and any place where people use audio or music to practice, perform and record.
Room and Portable Shields
Hal Leonard partnered with Gibraltar to produce two new sound and virus shields. The 3-panel Acrylic Lesson Room Divider stands 5 feet high and 6 feet wide. Ideal for smaller rooms to separate a teacher and student or can be used in bigger rooms where more separation is needed. MSRP is $299.99.
The new Music Stand Shield was designed so it can sit on the shelf of any standard, sturdy music stand (e.g. Manhasset), turning it into a portable 24" x 30" clear shield. Whether it?s moved to a side for a flautist, raised for a trumpeter or lowered for a saxophonist, this innovative shield can reduce the air flow from almost any instrument and can also serve as a sound diffuser. Face Masks & Clear Shields
Hal Leonard searched and found two ideal face protection options. The CapN Shield Clear Plastic Face Shield slides onto the brim of any baseball cap or visor to give the wearer instant protection. When used for singing, the shield also serves as a reflection monitor, so you clearly hear your pitch. Made in Wisconsin, they are 100% reusable so they can be cleaned and shared. You do need a hat with a visor to make it work but that lessens the cost. Singles are only $7.99 with 4-packs selling for $28.99.
The Singers' Mask is a professional cloth face mask made by Broadway professionals for the Broadway community. These are designed to keep the cloth well off your mouth and features side vents to improve air flow. Professionally designed and tested by the pros, this is the best option for serious singers on stage, school or in places of worship. They come in black and beige colors and in adult and youth sizes. Gator Products
Hal Leonard is also distributing several COVID-19 fighting products from Gator, due to their distribution agreement for Gator?s Levy?s Leathers brand. Hal Leonard will distribute their wind and brass player?s masks with flaps allowing the instrument to touch your lips while you keep the mask on as well as Brass Bell Covers that cover the bell of any brass instrument. The covers will minimize the spread of air droplets yet does not dampen the sound. The covers come in four bell sizes. Retail on all these Gator products is $19.95.
