Hal Leonard Signs Distribution Agreement with Heil Sound

Renowned pro audio products cater to hot market

MILWAUKEE—3/24/21—Heil Sound, manufacturer of world-class microphones for stage, studio, broadcast, and podcast, have assigned distribution rights to Hal Leonard MI Products Distribution for the US and Canada. An agreement was made with Ash Levitt, president of Heil Sound, and Brad Smith, Hal Leonard VP of MI Products, and becomes effective March 1.

Heil Sound was founded by Bob Heil in 1966, and in its early days became well known for many innovations in live sound. Bob Heil also developed the now-famous Heil Talk Box which was used on hits from Peter Frampton and Joe Walsh.

The company now focuses on dynamic microphones and accessories. A roster of high-profile and Grammy® Award-winning artists use Heil Sound microphones both on the road and in the recording studio. Heil Sound is also the first manufacturer to be invited to exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Ash Levitt comments, “We are very excited to be working with Hal Leonard, who is well-known in the industry as a reliable distributor. The market demand for Heil Sound products is steadily growing, and this partnership enables us to reach a wider network of retailers and provides US and Canadian customers with greater accessibility to our excellent products."

"Heil Sound brings an impressive history of serving the market for over 50 years," says Brad Smith. "Heil’s current line is a great and modern fit to our catalog of products. They bring a well-established catalog of products endorsed by the pros. This will give our customers confidence that they are selling the best in the business."
