Grammy Award-winning composer and conductor, Eric Whitacre, is among today’s most popular musicians. His works are programmed worldwide and his ground-breaking Virtual Choirs have united singers from more than 145 countries over more than a decade. A graduate of Juilliard School of Music, Eric completed his second term as Artist in Residence with the Los Angeles Master Chorale in 2020 having served five years as Composer in Residence at the University of Cambridge. Eric is proud to be a Yamaha Artist. His recent choral work Time Is a River (published 2026) reflects Whitacre's continuing exploration of shimmering sonorities and poetic text, quickly becoming a favorite among Low Voice choirs worldwide. Alongside this new publication, he remains an active collaborator and innovator, with ongoing projects spanning recording, conducting, and creative partnerships that continue to expand his global reach.
