Plenty of Horn was commissioned by the Seattle Symphony as part of its “Echoes” project, featuring classical works transformed and reinterpreted by contemporary composers. The 4-minute work is based on the familiar Trumpet Voluntary of Jeremiah Clarke, with the melody assembled from fragments and layers of register.
