Written in Leipzig in 1840 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the invention of printing, Mendelssohn's 'Hymn of Praise' is an immense work partly inspired by Beethovan's 9th (Choral) Symphony. This vocal score has been arranged for upper voices by Cilla Dennis anduses a piano accompaniment in place of the orchestra.
