The year 2009 saw the passing of legendary singer Yma Sumac – the exotic “Peruvian Songbird” who flourished in the 1950s, yet her music is heard in numerous movies and soundtracks even today. Here is one of her signature tunes (heard in the film Death to Smoochy) in a marvelous Michael Mossman arrangement.
