Keith Christopher Keith Christopher Keith Christopher is actively involved in music as a composer, arranger, orchestrator and producer. His musical roots go back to Wylie, Texas, where he grew up playing trumpet in band, accompanying in church, and singing in the church youth choir. After high school, he studied music theory and composition and conducting. He holds a Master of Music in Composition from Southern Methodist University where he was a Graduate Assistant in the music theory and choral departments. His composition teachers include Francis W. McBeth, Newell K. Brown, and Simon Sargon. His music has been performed worldwide by choirs, orchestras, and bands at places including the National Christmas tree lighting, Hollywood Bowl, All-State concerts, and many other symphony and concert halls and festival stages. Mr. Christopher has received a yearly award for his publications from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers since 1992. In 1999 he received the famed Gold Record Award for “A Merry Christmas with Brass,” which features The Dallas Brass. In 2003 he received a Dove Award for the choral collection, “More Songs for Praise and Worship.” In addition, he has produced over a thousand recordings for music publishers. Mark Brymer Mark Brymer For more than 20 years, Mark Brymer has been a leading choral writer/arranger for the educational and church choral music markets. With literally hundreds of original choral works, musical reviews, medleys, and copyrighted arrangements in print, Mark sells over 600,000 copies of music annually through Hal Leonard Corporation. Additional educational publication credits include being a Senior Music Producer and Arranger for over 400 recordings for the K-6 McGraw-Hill Music Textbook Series and the songwriter and co-creator of the 50-book series “Sing & Read Math” (Pre-K), for Frog Street Press. Commercially, Mark heads a full service music production and live theatrical show production company, WOW! ENTERTAINMENT, INC. whose clients include, Six Flags Theme Parks (7 different parks), Corporate Magic, New Orleans' Jazzland Theme Park, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Carnival Cruise Lines and the Pirates Voyage and the Dixie Stampede Dinner/Arena Attractions (3 locations). Some of Mark's commercial music production credits include, co-writing and producing the opening and end title song, "Digga Digga Dog" for Disney's feature film, "102 Dalmatians" starring Glenn Close. This song is also featured on the movie soundtrack. Mark also produced and arranged three top selling children's records, "Have Yourself A Looney Tunes Christmas," "Frosty The Snowman," and "Looney Tunes Kwazy Christmas" for RHINO Records. In 1997 the Gospel Music Association honored Mark with a nomination for a DOVE Award for musical of the year, "Majesty of Christmas." Mark's academic background includes Millikin University, University of North Texas and UCLA-Los Angeles. Jeffrey A. Smith Jeffrey A. Smith Jeffrey A. Smith started his music training at the age of eight, and within a few years began composing music by creating new melodies from the chordal structure of Christmas carols. By the age of sixteen, Jeff was actively involved in the music ministry at his church, where he played the piano for both the English and Spanish church services. Since then, Jeff has gained invaluable experience in hymn playing, improvisation, arranging, and composing. These years have allowed Jeff to compose and arrange new choral anthems, and his first choral arrangement was published in 2005. Jeff's published anthems are now listed under the Shawnee Press and Hal Leonard names, and other well-known publishing houses. Jeff holds degrees from Bob Jones University and Nova Southeastern University. He is a member of ASCAP, and keeps an active schedule where he serves as pianist of Plantation Baptist Church in Plantation, Florida. Publications by Jeffrey A. Smith
Carol Klose Carol Klose Carol Klose, an accomplished performer, teacher, clinician, composer, and arranger, taught piano and composition privately in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Formerly on the faculty of the Wisconsin College Conservatory of Music, she conducted workshops and master classes in the U.S. and Australia, specializing in student composition. With over 30 years in the music publishing field, her original works include piano solos, duets, art songs, a musical version of Dickens Christmas Carol, a book for teachers called "Creative Composition," as well as pieces in the Hal Leonard Student Piano Library and the NGPT Allison Contemporary Piano Collection. Carol held degrees in piano performance from Dominican University (summa cum laude) and Villa Schifanoia Graduate School of Fine Arts, Italy. She died in 2013. Jerry Rubino Jerry Rubino Jerry Rubino is a conductor/teacher/pianist/coach/singer regarded for his diverse musical interests, engaging artistry, and passionate enthusiasm for performing arts. Jerry founded and directs VOICES 360, a vocal and instrumental ensemble that prioritizes the collaborative process of the singer/actor and dancer to present multi disciplined performances of repertoire including early music, classical music, gospel, pop and jazz. His groups appear in diverse venues from Macy’s to Orchestra Hall. Rubino worked for twenty-three seasons with the Dale Warland Singers, as associate conductor, director of special projects and music education, pianist, singer and arranger. In 2007, he was appointed assistant conductor of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra Chorale, continuing his collaboration with Dale Warland, artistic director. In 2011, he was appointed Artistic Director of Voices of Experience, a new choral outreach of the Minnesota Chorale and MacPhail School of Music, for seniors, 55+ with the mission to foster life long learning and community. Jerry was named an editor for the Voices of Distinction series with Hal Leonard in 2005, serves as a frequent workshop presenter and is editing a new Christmas choral collection for Oxford University Press titled The Sound of an American Christmas due in Spring, 2013. He serves as repertoire and standards chair for vocal jazz for the North Central Division of the American Choral Directors Association, is a member of ASCAP and is requested nationally as a choral clinician, music director, pianist and adjudicator.
Patrick M. Liebergen Patrick M. Liebergen Patrick M. Liebergen (b. 1949) is widely published as a choral editor, arranger and composer, and is the Director of Choral Activities at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin. With music degrees from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin; the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and the University of Colorado-Boulder, Dr. Liebergen has served in a variety of positions as a leader of church and school choral groups and has appeared throughout the United States and Canada as an adjudicator and clinician. He co-authored Monograph No. 4 published by ACDA and has written articles for Choral Journal. Listed in Who's Who in America, Dr. Liebergen has won the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association Composition Competition and the anthem contest sponsored by the Twin Cities Church Musicians Association. One of his choral works was featured in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Christmas special, which aired on radio and television stations around the country. Dr. Liebergen's well-received publications, choral collections, cantatas, vocal solo collections, and numerous choral works for church and school choirs, are published by many publishers and have been performed around the world.
