On the occasion of my 75th birthday (2000) Pierre Boulez sent me a feuillet d'album only for solo voice on the poem monde of the great poet Philippe Jaccottet, who shares the same year with Pierre Boulez. It was appealing to me, 15 years later, on the occasion of the 90th birthday, to refer to the same poem, to take it again as the starting point for a birth-time speech and sound composition, to bind poet and composer closer together, to paraphrase.
